First day a success

This post is a day late but better than never!
We set out today on a series of ferry rides designed to take us into Canada and back and set us on a path to Portland.
Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves, because typing on this phone is a bit hard.
We are now in the relative safety of my friend Allie's living room at Friday Harbor Labs on San Juan Island. Tomorrow, we will take two more ferries: from here to Anacortes and then from Keystone to Port Townsend. Adios!
