Days 8 and beginning of 9: Beautiful Coast

Yesterday we did a nice 60 miles from Cannon Beach to Cape Lookout state park, stopping at the Tilamook cheese factory along the way. The ice cream there was tremendously delicious. At Cape Lookout we took it easy, just eating BBQ sandwiches and reading on the beach, and observing the slow setting of the sun.
Straight out of the park we conquered a lonng steep ascent this morning, and now rest at the Pelican brewery and pub in Pacific City watching the world cup. Our orange jerseys signal our favored champions!
